Most Common Chiropractic Techniques for Auto Injuries

An auto injury can have a significant impact on the body. It can cause back pain, whiplash, and other problems, with pain that sometimes lasts for months. If you were in a car accident, see a chiropractor soon, once serious injury is ruled out, so your injuries are found, documented and treated from the start.

At our three clinics, we focus on car accident injuries. These are the chiropractic techniques we use most often to help you recover.

Chiropractic techniques to treat auto injuries

There are many chiropractic techniques for auto injuries. These are the ones we use most:

1. Chiropractic adjustments

A chiropractic adjustment helps put the spine back in alignment and reduce pain. Our chiropractors apply controlled pressure to the joints of the spine, which eases inflammation, tightness, and pain.

2. Massage

Massage therapy and chiropractic care go hand in hand. We may suggest massage (a form of manual therapy) to ease pain, improve circulation, and improve flexibility.

3. Hot and cold therapy

Chiropractic care is non-invasive and gentle, and we sometimes add hot and cold therapy to support your recovery. Used alongside adjustments, heat and cold help restore blood flow to the injured area and can decrease tenderness.

4. Electrical stimulation

Used in Phase 01 and Phase 02 alongside adjustments.

5. Rehabilitation exercises

Rehabilitation exercises help the body function properly again after an accident. They include targeted exercises and stretches that lower the chance of aggravating your injury, decrease pain, and improve mobility.

Benefits of chiropractic care for auto injuries

Chiropractic treatment after a motor vehicle accident has several benefits:

  • Less pain: treatment aims to ease pain without painkillers or surgery.
  • Better motion: adjustments and rehab work to restore range of motion.
  • A clear record: every visit documents your findings for your PIP claim.
