How we write and check what you read here

The articles and clinic pages on this site are written for people recovering from a car accident and for the family members helping them. They cover the injuries we treat, how chiropractic and massage care work, concussion, and how Oregon auto insurance pays for treatment. People make real decisions based on what they read here, so we hold the writing to the same standard as our chart notes: accurate, specific, and sourced.

Who writes it

Our chiropractic physicians write the clinical pages, or a writer drafts them from a physician’s notes and the physician signs off before publication. The author is named on every clinical page.

Who reviews it

Dr. Seth Hill, DC, our founder and president, reviews clinical content before it goes live and again on a set schedule. A page he has reviewed shows “Medically reviewed by Dr. Seth Hill, DC” and the date of the latest review.

Where the facts come from

We cite peer-reviewed research, clinical practice guidelines, and Oregon statutes and administrative rules, and we check each citation against the original record before it appears on a page. If a study found a modest benefit, we call it modest, and if a treatment carries risks, we name them. Press releases, product marketing, and summaries of someone else’s research do not count as evidence here.

What this information is for

Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or legal advice, and reading it does not make you our patient. Your care is based on your own examination. In a medical emergency, call 911. Updates and corrections

We recheck clinical pages at least once a year, and sooner when the research or the rules change. If you think something here is wrong or out of date, call any of our clinics and ask for the office manager: Oregon City (503) 723-4462, Milwaukie (503) 919-7001, Troutdale (503) 491-9266. We fix errors and update the review date on the page.
